What is Dynamic Tone Mapping

Dynamic Tone Mapping (DTM) is an exclusive feature for HDR10 content.

With DTM turned off, the projector uses a static HDR curve. The Low and High modes enable dynamic HDR tone mapping, where dynamic metadata is incorporated into the algorithm. This improves shadow detail in dark scenes while preventing highlight clipping in bright scenes.

 

Please make sure the projector is playing HDR10 or HLG content, and then DTM can be turn on under Settings > Display & Sound > Picture > Laser Luminance.
