🚀 The following applies to the Aetherion Max & Pro:
Q: What is the IRIS feature on Aetherion series projectors, and how should I configure it for the best viewing experience?
A: IRIS is used to fine-tune the projected image by enabling the projector to enhance its on/off contrast—the difference between the brightest white when the iris is fully open and the darkest black when the iris is closed. This ensures that dark scenes are appropriately deep while bright scenes remain vibrant.
Both the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro support Lens IRIS. Featuring a native 6,000:1 contrast ratio, an upgraded 7-step IRIS control, and a refined EBL algorithm, the image delivers deep blacks and true depth without the need for heavy processing, resulting in crisp shadows and clean color separation.
✅ How to Enable and Configure IRIS
💡 Recommended Settings:
For the Best Cinematic Experience (Plug & Play): We recommend selecting Cinema 1 or Cinema 2. These modes are specifically optimized for standard users to provide the best black levels and image quality without requiring manual adjustment.
For Customization (Manual Mode): If you prefer more control or find the Cinema modes too dim, select Manual.
Manual IRIS Range: 0 to 7.
Setting 0: The aperture is fully open (maximum brightness).
Setting 7: The aperture is at its smallest (maximum contrast and best black levels).
🚀 Further Optimization:
To achieve the best possible performance, we also suggest setting your Laser Luminance to 10 in the display settings to further enhance the visual depth.
